Bose Sound Systems

There are a lot of reasons someone might choose a Bose sound system, but the two most popular reasons would be the sound quality, and it's compact size. The Bose company was founded in 1964 by Dr Amar Bose and is quite popular despite it's high price tag. The Bose sound systems have been criticized for lack of quality, but then again you will find that there is criticism for any sound system.  If you ask any Bose owner if they would give up their system for a cheaper yet comparable system they wouldn't do it, They love their Bose system. This is a review blog and I will give you reviews on all the Bose products, that means the good and the bad points. In the end the choice will be yours, but consider the fact that Bose has been around for 46 years, so they must be doing something right. In the next post the first product review will be the Bose wave CD playing clock radio.

Bose Wave Music System

The Bose Wave CD-Playing clock radio has been improved with the second generation. All of the buttons have been eliminated on the second generation to give it a sleeker look and is controlled with a 26 button credit card size remote. The remote is well labeled and easy to use; you should also note that certain buttons serve a dual purpose so make sure you read the manual.

If you have decided to use your Wave system to act as an alarm clock you have the option to wake up with a CD or a radio station. This model unlike it's predecessor has an auxiliary input so that you can connect to an iPod, DVD player, or any other playback device. Another change made to the second generation Wave system is the CD player, which now supports MP3 and loads from the front instead of the top. The Wave ipod connect kit is purchased separately

As with any music system there are going to be deficient aspects or features that people just don't like, and the Bose Wave system is no exception. Although the Wave music system has some weak points they really aren't that bad.

In the second generation Wave player Bose has eliminated the nap timer, which allowed you to set the alarm to wake you up for 10 to 90 minutes later without bothering with a snooze feature like with a conventional alarm clock, there is however a snooze button on the remote which is so small it would be very easy to misplace which is another drawback. The new wave comes in three colors: Platinum White, Graphite Gray, and Titanium Silver.

Bose SoundDock

Bose SoundDock II
If you were wishing that you could listen to your downloaded songs on your ipod without having to use headphones or earbuds then the Bose soundDock might just be what you are looking for. There are basically three types, the SoundDock, the SoundDock portable, and the SoundDock 10. The SoundDock is basically for  the ipod, while the SoundDock II is virtually the same except it has an auxiliary input which allows you to connect to any audio device and will work with virtually any ipod product, it comes in silver and gloss black. The Portable SoundDock is just that, it can be taken anywhere without having to plug into a wall socket and can also connect to any audio device. It comes with a rechargeable Li-on battery which last about three hours, or longer if you keep the volume low. It would be a good idea to buy a spare battery. The SoundDock 10 has a few more features then the other SoundDocks and that is output connection that allows you to watch the movies from your ipod device to your television and there is another accessory called the Bluetooth Dock which Easily allows you to  play your stereo Bluetooth music phone through your SoundDock 10 system. The system can store up to six music phones in it's memory.
